A Louis XV style gilt bronze mounted veneered bureau plat avec Cartonnier having a bombe shaped cartonnier with medallion shaped pediment mounted with gilt bronze ribbon tied torch and quiver, the sides with gilt bronze ribbon tied musical trophies centering the three graduated drawers; the shaped bureau plat top inset with a gilt tooled leather writing surface above three frieze drawers to one side, raised on cabriole legs mounted with female espagnolettes and terminating in foliate sabots. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 60", width 62.5", depth 31".
