Description
Alexandre Boudan (French, 1600-1671), "Les fruicts de la Guerre (The Fruits of War)", collection of eleven engravings on paper depicting the violence during war in France. First engraving with title of series on banner upper center, last engraving with "ABoudan excudit cum Privlege" lower right. Each engraving measures approximately 3.6" x 4.9". Note: These works have scenes in the background that are after the famous "Miseries and Misfortunes of War (Les grandes Miseres de la guerre" series created by Jacques Callot (French, 1592-1635) in 1633.
