Description
Continental, possibly Russian, late 18th/early 19th century. A carved and polychromed wood santos depicting Saint Roch, the patron saint of dogs, holding his attribute of the staff with a vial of fresh waters, lifting his robe to display a plague boil, with his dog by his side, and a faded and illegible inscription to the base. Approximate height 17.5", width 6.5", depth 6".
