Continental, late 20th century. A pair of Aesthetic Movement style chinoiserie bamboo motif wooden planters, each having a tall, square form polychromed in black with gold banding, with a black metal insert. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 49.25", width 12", depth 12".

Wear commensurate with age and use. Scratch and abrasion to one leg Some oxidation and paint loss to liners. Minor losses to polychrome. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
