An attractive set of three Near Eastern stone pendants. Lot includes:
Sumerian carnelian amulet, c. 3000 – 2500 BC, in the form of a droplet, (12 x 8mm), with deep orange color.
A Sumerian crème marble pendant, c. 3000 – 2500 BC, triangular in shape with incised leaf pattern and a suspension hole through the top, (13 x 8mm).
An Anatolian grey steatite wedge-shaped pendant, 1st Millennium BC, the horizontal hole through the top, (21 x 8mm).
A nice mixed group! Ex East Coast private collection; Ex California Museum of Ancient Art, donated 1989. (0139,0889, 0004).
