Description
Late 19th / early 20th century bas-relief casting of Capilliata Colleoni in a bust-length, half profile, pose with with latin inscription below. Contained in an impressive gilt wood frame with plaque. Provenance: C. and E. Canessa, N.Y. 1915. Purchased by The Saint Louis Museum in 1921 and later sold to benefit their New Acquisitions Fund. Bears a dark brownish black patina.
