Description
1902, approx. 5.5x8 inches. A rollicking romance set in post American revolution Pennsylvania. Taylor grew up in Kennett Square, PA and knew the area well. He wrote about fifty books including novels, poetry, books of travel and even a fine translation of Goethe's "Faust" He traveled extensively, and later became America's ambassador to Germany. Quaker history in Chester County, adventure, and rollicking romance. Laid in is a program for a play that was adapted from the book. Program dated May 18/19 1922. Nice collectible condition.
