This modern watercolor portrait has a direct charm and sophisticated composition which elevate it from the ranks of mundane representationalism, to the realm of sophistication found in the works of such artists as Georges Roualt and even those of the contemporary master David Hockney. Without knowing who the sitter is, it is easy to feel that the artist, S. Miller, intended to convey the image of a directly modern young woman.
