American (Cincinnati), early 20th century. A pair of faience architectural tiles by Rookwood Pottery, both featuring a tree of life design in a mat glaze. Impressed marks to back of each including 1377Y; 8 x 8 in. (each).

These tiles were removed from the fireplace surround of a home in Avondale, a historic neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Condition

Both with chips to corners. Even craquelure.
