MEISSEN PORCELAIN CENTERPIECE
Late 19th century. In two pieces. Blue underglaze Crossed Swords on each piece, basket incised 2772, impressed 163 and 68, the stand impressed 39.
Surmounted by a pierced rocaille basket applied with leaves and flower heads supported by a tree around which two lovers are playing a game of hide and seek, on a foliate, rocaille base, raised on a conforming stand on scroll feet applied with encrusted flowers.
Height 22 1/4 in (56.51 cm.)

Condition
In two pieces: Bottom piece: Flower clusters on the top of scrolled feet have chipped flower petals. Top Piece: The top pieces have 1" chip at the round base, there are few glued cracks in mid section;(one hand and leg of the boy figurine), discolored old repair of the flower, several chips of the flower petals, some resin or glue residue along the crack, few cracks on the top basket.
