BIOGRAPHY: Barbara Rausch Priester Deely earned a B.A. from Smith College (Northampton, Mass.) in 1942 and a master’s in fine arts at the University of Iowa in 1986. She was a founding member of Studio 15, a Davenport art cooperative, a potter, a printmaker and a painter, who also worked with encaustics during her later years. She was an enthusiastic supporter of the Davenport Municipal Art Gallery and served on its board.
