Custom made pieces are made from  original pieces in your pattern that are not otherwise available or difficult to find on the market, especially in discontinued patterns. Hollow handle items are made from an original handle in your pattern with a new stainless implement. Then the pieces are hand-finished by a highly skilled silversmith in the USA. The hollow handles are sterling and  genuine handles in your pattern, even though it is not usually stamped. Hollow handle items were usually not stamped due to their hollow construction. All of our hollow handle pieces are thoroughly inspected and tested prior to shipping and are guaranteed sterling

Gorham Silver was founded in 1831 by Jabez Gorham, in partnership with Henry Webster, in Providence, Rhode Island. Originally a manufacturer of coin-silver flatware, the company began focusing on sterling silver in 1868, producing everything from flatware such as knives, forks, and spoons to hollowware pieces ranging from coffee pots to serving bowls. Chantilly is exquisitely elegant and was started by Gorham in 1895.
