DESCRIPTION: An antique Dutch school oil on copper painting. Features a rendering of an alchemist seated a table with a book in his hand as he inspects his array of glass beakers and cauldrons. Appears to be in original frame. Metal sheet has been ebonized along the back, uncertain if actually painted on copper or another form of metal. Fitted in a two tone, ebonized, and gilded, wooden frame and floral patterns enveloping the copper sheet. Unsigned.
