Notes: Werkstatte Hagenauer Wien were masters at creating highly stylized sculptures and decorative arts during the Jugendstil and Art Deco periods. Their characteristically slender forms of elongated exaggeration were delicately modeled in brass - and later with elements of carved wood - and proved highly appealing to collectors. The sculptures offered here, unusual in both their size and in being a matched pair, are exceptional examples of the Werksatte at their most accomplished.
