Louis XV-Style Giltwood Settee
ca. 1900, the domed and padded back surmounted by a foliate crest and within a gadroon- and foliate-molded frame, joined by padded arms to the cushioned seat, raised on cabriole legs headed by foliate carving and ending in scroll toes to paws.

Condition
Deep, crisp carving with typical scattered surface rubbing and minor losses consistent with age and use.
The reverse side of the upper frame with elaborate incised decoration. The crest with an old restored
break across the center section. Typical shrinkage where arms join the back and where two of the legs
join the seat (one of these with filler). All four legs with old restored breaks. All presently sturdy with no
wobble.
