mid-18th century, the top with a concealed drawer in the curved frieze, the drop-front writing desk fitted with an adjustable ratchet blotter and opening to a fitted interior with multiple drawers and cubbies, the base with a pair of side-by-side drawers over two long drawers and raised on turned bun feet.

In very good condition throughout. The interior document door has a small veneer chip to the top left corner. The sliding lid on the interior (below the document door) is missing. This accesses two secret drawers on the inside left and right. The interior pigeonholes also slide out to access three secret drawers behind them. There are shrinkage cracks to the moldings. The brass hardware and keyholes have been changed at some point and the old holes professionaly plugged and hardly noticeable. Retains an old, professional refinished surface with beautiful color and patina.
