Franco-Chinese Gilt-Bronze-Mounted Rose Mandarin Vase
first quarter 20th century, with a scrolling Louis XV-style bronze base and grape-molded handles, holding a bronze bouquet of carefully molded lilies, the vase decorated with Mandarin scenes and flowers.

Condition
Dramatic lot in generally very good condition.
There is a small firing anomaly/surface loss at one side of the reserve depicting the interior scene (approx.
1/4 " x 1/4").
One blue porcelain handle with old professional restoration.
The brightly gilded bronze and brass surfaces exhibit scattered oxidation.
The uppermost lily stem now incorporating a later gilded lamp rod with threaded top (this lily somewhat
darkened). The lily stems are inserted into a removable "font" fitting into a brass sleeve (both of these
elements incorporate rods for electrification).
