This early JBJJ flag/drapo honors Dambala, the creator spirit.
Flags and banners known as "Drapo" or "Drapeau" are an art long associated with Haitian Vodou (formerly spelled Voodoo in English). Vodou Drapo are traditionally specific to a particular lwa (spirit). Some contemporary "Drapo" create narrative scenes, while others reference current or historical events.
