A long consecutive run of this short-lived World War One expressionist journal, lacking only the 4 issues published in 1917. Includes literary contributions from Rainer Maria Rilke, Thomas Mann, Franz Werfel, Max Brod, Martin Buber, Hermann Hesse, Annette Kolb, Georg Trakl, Hans Kyper, Franz Theodor Csokor, etc. The illustrations include works by Max Unold, Erwin Scharff, Richard Seewald, Alfred Kubin, Paul Klee (lithograph: "Death for the Idea"), Lyonel Feininger, Franz Seckendorf, Oskar Kokoschka, Pablo Picasso and many more.
