Early School Crossing Die-Cut Metal Sign w/ Stand

Item Details

Description

This is a rare original “School Crossing” die-cut metal painted advertising sign. The early sign shows a school girl holding a chalkboard with the words, “SCHOOL CROSSING” written across it. The girl is in a red poke-a-dot dress with black hair having a bow. The piece shows very good to good condition for its age with some wear from being used. The sign is double sided with the back side showing a black diagonal caution stripe line pattern. Only one other sign in the exact form has been made available for sale and was valued at $1,200 and sold at the Victorian Casino Auctions in 2013 for $425 with this sign being in much better brighter condition. Very rare original sign. The sign measures overall 61.5”H x 21”W.
