GERMAN BISQUE THREE-FACE DOLL BY CARL BERGNER. 13". Bisque socket head with three different faces: one frowning with brown glass eyes, one smiling with brown glass eyes, one sleeping with painted closed eyes; each face has closed mouth, feathered brows, painted lashes, cardboard hood covering the two faces not in play, blonde mohair wig; body is composition and wooden with jointed waist, white organdy and lace gown, matching bonnet. Commentary: When loop at top of head is turned the various faces are revealed; good quality bisque, smiling face has small paint wear on cheeks, otherwise very good condition.
