Description
This structure started as a two floor Sid Cooke UK shop purchased at the London Dollshouse Company. It was adapted by the Birnbergs by an outside staircase. The first floor is the baby and children's shop and the second is the tea merchant. The building was named after the two UK artists who contributed so many one of a kind, custom made pieces to make the shops come alive. Luned Davis made most of the incredible knitted baby items and Maureen Ballantyne (retired) made the wonderful tea and coffee displays. The other artist who contributed many items to the baby and children's shop is Anabella (AnaIsabel G. Menocal), Spain whose work shows her mastery of sever artist techniques. A portion of Diane Birnberg's teapot collection was also featured on the tea shop. Many of these were made by Valerie Casson, France.
