This masterful necklace, comprised of 18+ karat gold set with a great number of rubies, emeralds, sapphires, and freshwater pearls, presents a mesmerizing design in the style of Mughal Empire art combining aspects of Indian and Persian decorative traditions, with a large central floral pendant delineated with a pair of concentric ten-petaled blossoms set with large round cabochon and smaller ovoid rubies and emeralds; suspended from it via coiled gold wires are five danglers comprised of larger freshwater pearls and colored sapphires with clustered gold granules; flanking this are eighteen (nine on each side) diamond-shaped gold pieces set with rubies, emeralds, and sapphires - the versos impressed with a floral/leaf motif - with a pair of smaller termini set with a single stone. Threaded through gold loops attached to the elements are additional freshwater pearls that create beautiful upper and lower borders. Simply stunning!
