Description
An Egyptian faience bust of Sekhmet from a larger figure, Late Period, c. 664 – 332 BC, well modeled with leonine head wearing tripartite headdress, hole at top of head for headdress. A very attractive and well-preserved piece retaining some original green glaze with black additions. H: 1 2/3 in (4.3cm). Mounted on flat rectangular wood base. Ex collection of J.D.R. Fryer, UK.
