19th c. French Ormolu Mounted Sewing Box. Rectangular box with incurvate sides, bronze shell feet,mahogany veneer chamfered hinged lid with brass rolled side with floral mounted ends, blank cartouche top. Interior lined in red silk , pink quilted silk top edged in pink tooled leather that drops open to reveal a envelope compartment. Wear to interior, some age appropriate to box. Measures 14"x11"x7.50". Weight is 4 pds 13 oz.
