Carved oak tall case clock with Swedish themed relief carving, door depicting a helmeted warrior over an urn, base with family crest, bonnet with gryphon carved crest over scratch carved arched door flanked by spiral columns, containing steel & brass movement with double bell chime, round painted steel dial signed Mora, with a relief carved oak surround, made by Olof Althin, cabinetmaker, 1859 - 1920, Boston, who was also known to be cabinetmaker to the noted Boston lawyer and collector Charles Hitchcock Tyler (1863-1931). , cabinetmaker, 1859 - 1920, Boston, 95-3/4" h x 18-1/2" w at base
