Ward played for the New York Gothams / Giants as a pitcher and later a short-stop. He served as the first president of the first player's union, the Brotherhood of Professional Base Ball Players. Ward was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1964.
Condition
Some restorations to the spine, wrapper edges, and the fore edges of a few leaves at front; very good.
