Description
This lot consists of a large painting depicting a luncheon that is attended by several guests that are dressed in colonial era garb. This luncheon is taking place outside, in front of a beautiful home. At this luncheon, there are three gentlemen sitting at a table one of which has a great resemblance to Benjamin Franklin dressed in brown. These men are being served by a woman and a child hugs one of the gentlemen. Off to the right side of the image there is a servant that is bringing more food to the luncheon as a little girl tugs at his coat. The artist signed the painting on the lower right of the canvas. The painting is framed in a wooden frame with areas deficient of wood. Overall the painting is in good condition with craquelure present and normal wear.Condition: (Very Good).Dimensions: Framed: 85" x 47-3/4".
