Description
A pair of American coin silver gravy ladles by the important maker, Henry Hebbard, New York, Active c.1847-1869. Ivy pattern, the handle tip decorated with a bearded face mask of a horned male / devil. Ivy further decorates the ladles, scalloped shaped bowls. Initial monograms on the front of handles. The back stamped with maker's H. H. initials, Patent 1852 and (retailed by) B.R. Davis & Bro. Each measuring 7.25" long. Overall weight 106.4 grams.
NOTE: Hebbard patented a number of flatware patterns and produced for early Tiffany & Co.
