CIVIL WAR PATRIOTIC / POLITICAL POSTAL ENVELOPES / COVERS, LOT OF 24, postally unused, comprising mainly pro-Union or satirical anti-Confederate examples, including seven colored examples, including "A New Way to Pay Old Debts" showing a slave-owner pointing a pistol at a debt collector under a seven-star Confederate States flag, and "You'll catch it when mother wakes up!" depicting a child pulling the U.S. flag draperies from a tester bed while Lady Liberty sleeps. Circa 1865. 2 1/2" X 4 1/4" to 3 1/4" x 5 1/2" OA.
