This work is one of the few works from the artist's Kibbutz period, painted while he lived in Kibbutz Ofakin.
Provenance: The estate of the artist,

Born in Poland, Meir Steingold studied art with the sculptor Zeev Ben Zvi at the Refugee Camps in Cyprus, and later with Marcel Janco and Zvi Meirowitz at the Oranim Art Institute. Both artists influenced him deeply.
In the 1960s Steingold developed his own style of expressive and abstract compositions.
