Rebel Without A Cause (1976) two Vic Fair prototype British Quad film poster designs for the re-release of the 1955 James Dean film, the first quickly drawn/painted & the second more finely executed & a close approximation to the printed poster, both items signed & dated by the artist, both on paper applied to board, sold with provenance, 22 x 32 inches (2 items)This lot is from the archive of the artist Vic Fair. Fair was one of the leading British film poster illustrators of the 20th century & considered by many to be a design genius, many of his concepts being illustrated by other artists. Fair is one of the few commercial poster artists to have work in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum.
