A VICTORIAN GOTHIC REVIVAL CARVED OAK WRITING TABLE, PROBABLY ENGLISH, LAST QUARTER 19TH CENTURY, the arched back with adorsed scrolls and leaves centering a green man mask over a rectangular quarter sawn top with a leafy motif carved edge, above a central long drawer with adorsed scrolling foliate centering a green man mask handle within relief lion's mask carved stiles above a scalloped skirt, on fruiting bouquet carved tapered square legs ending in square tassel carved feet joined by two arched lattice and floret medallion carved stretchers. Height: 39" Width: 41 1/4" Depth: 17 3/8

There is rubbing to some areas throughout. The top has some surface scratches. There are some intermittent chips throughout, most notably to the base of the drawer pull, a loss at the center of the skirt, and some losses and damage to the interior corners of the legs. Overall in good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
