Description
Friedman Brother (American, founded 1903), last quarter 20th century. A pair of Chinese Chippendale chinoiserie motif giltwood mirrors, each having a rectangular form, mounted with a phoenix over a C-scroll and acanthine crest, with a fluted frame, accented with floral swag drops and scrolled acanthine lower spandrels, with icicle drops and an open C-scroll drop. Labeled to reverse. Approximate height 41.5", width 18", depth 2.5".
Condition
Some wear commensurate with age and use. Loss to drop and finial of gilt and wood of left-facing phoenix mirror. Some minor seam separation. Minor accretions to mirrors. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
