Description
Russian, late 19th/early 20th century. A .875 pure silver (875/1000 or .937) handled tray, the rim simulated as a twig or branch enclosing heavy repousse harvest decoration in the form of grapes, wheat sheaves and leafy foliage. Impressed touch marks to front side below handle "84" for purity and a Cyrillic makers mark, likely for Aleksandr Fuld (Moscow, 1862-1917). Approximate width 23.37" (handle to handle), diameter 20". Approximate weight 79.29 troy ounces.
Condition
Overall very good condition. Front center with surface scratches commensurate with age and usage. Very minor pitting.
