Description
Minton ( Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, 1793–1872), third quarter 19th century. A large flow blue and gilt enamel "New Stone" covered soup tureen with decorative finial and branch style handles. Underside of foot with impressed mark "NEW STONE" and BB (best body) mark. Approximate height 10.25", width 13" (handle to handle), diameter 8.75".
