Description
Furnivals Ltd (English, 1890-1968), circa 1890s. A substantial ironstone punch bowl in the "Portland" pattern having the interior and exterior decorated with classical style scenes depicting Greek figures on crimson ground. Unmarked aside from number "3196/5" in brown underglaze. Approximate height 7.5", diameter of bowl 14.72". Provenance: From the Private Collection of a South Carolina gentleman.
Condition
Interior bottom with brown discoloration/staining. Crazing present. Glazing imperfections with minor color loss. Wear to foot commensurate with age and contact with surface. No repairs noted.
