Chinese Ming style Fahua glazed pottery tripod censer with two upright, slightly flared handles, the turquoise ground body decorated with two five-clawed scaly dragons amidst cloud scrolls raised on three feet decorated with masks. Six character mark to neck for Xuande reign (1426-1435). Underside with dealer stickers "SPINK & SON LTD/FOUNDED 1666/5, 6 & 7 KING STREET/ST. JAMES'S/LONDON SWIY" as well as another label "SPINK & SON LTD/EST 1772". Approximate height 7"(handles), with 7.62" (handle to handle).
Condition
Wear commensurate with age and use. Some dust. Minor enamel losses. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
