Description
Attributed to Grosfeld House (American), mid 20th century. A walnut veneered buffet or china cabinet in two parts, the upper portion a pyramidal cabinet, having a molded cornice and an outwardly tapering form set with three shelves, resting on a lower buffet, having two upper slides over two cabinet doors, with applied molding in the form of a diamond with an applied flowered knob, opening to reveal interior storage, accented with black lacquered detailing overall. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 86", width 56", depth 15.5".
Condition
Wear commensurate with age and use. Surface wear overall, including some chips, nicks, and losses to finish, with scratches overall. Could benefit from new finish. Doors and slides stick a bit. Height of lower console approximately 32.5". No other visible signs of damage or repair.
