Description
Egyptian and Turkish, early 20th century. A silver covered sweet dish, bonbon or butter dish having a floral finial handle on bell shaped lid resting in shallow circular bowl. Lid is hallmarked with Tughra mark of the Sultan. Underside of bowl hallmarked with pre-1940 assay marks. Silver content likely 800/900. Approximate height 4.62", diameter of bowl 8.5". Approximate weight 22.01 troy ounces.
Condition
Minor surface wear. Some indented scratches to underside of base. Some small dings. Rim of lid with two small dings/dents. Some wear from polish. No other visible signs of damage or repair.
