Description
A provincial long case clock. French. Late 18th / early 19th century. Solid wood with carved central and bottom doors with curling floral motif. Face with detailed brass repousse fronton with Louis XIV "sun king" motif at top surrounded birds and scrolling foliate. Circular brass face as white and blue enameled roman numeral indicators and repousse center with foliate and urn motif. Weights and pendulum with "sun king" motif. Approx. 97 3/4"h x 21 1/2"w x 12 1/2"d.
