Pair Royal Vienna Porcelain Urns. Each footed ovoid form centering twin hand painted mythological scenes, the first depicting Persephone being held back from the entering the Underworld guarded by Hermes and Cereberus, the two headed dog monster; the second of the God Triton or Poseidon, the whole enclosed by a border with gilt anthemion leaves to corseted shoulder with square handles, gilt banded socle foot with conforming anthemion leaf band, the dome form cover with gilt decorated floriform final. Each with an underglaze blue beehive mark on base. Height 9 inches (22.8 cm). Dimensions of base 4 1/8 x 4 1/8 inches (10.5 x 10.5 cm). Each lid has a repair.
