Description
Rome, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A lovely 24 karat gold ring with a circular face. Both the face and the surrounding areas of the shank are decorated with a dotted motif that may have been highlighted with added red pigment. It is also possible that the reddish areas are a result of iron-rich soil encrusting the slightly recessed dots. US ring size: 3.5 to 3.75. Size: opening measures .625" L x .875" W (1.6 cm x 2.2 cm); Weight: 3.2 grams
