The slate has been oiled many times over the years and has a glossy patina. Some minor roughness and abrasions to the slate at the corners, but no chips, cracks, or repairs. One small stain to the top of the slate. Original finish to the base and the plywood. The slate and plywood are removable. There is a slight gap between the slate and the two end pieces of the base; the slate does not fit tightly. The sides of the bases are not perfectly flat; they have a handmade quality as expected. Sturdy and structurally sound. Overall, excellent original condition. Table or seat height: 15.25"h.
