Bamileke/Fiume, Cameroon, Early 20th c. Carved and Painted Wood Full-Length Figure, or 'Lefem' (commemorative portrait), of a man with body spiritually split in half by paint, masked features, cowrie shell eyes, shell and fibre necklace, hide head covering, fibre belt, the figure standing on a half globe, with a custom museum mount. Figure is 31" tall, 40" tall overall on 10" square base. Good condition.
