Description
FREE-BLOWN MARBRIE-LOOP DECORATED VASE, colorless with four groups of opal loopings, thistle-form bowl with gauffered eight-petal rim having an applied cobalt blue edge, superimposed base with thick upper ring, raised on a short solid stem stepped to a thick foot with rough pontil mark. Probably Pittsburgh, possibly New England. Mid 19th century. 8 7/8" H, 4 3/4" DOA rim, 3 5/8" D foot.
