Description
RUSSIA, CIRCA 1890 A Russian silver gilt plique a jour and cloisonne enamel serving spoon. The head of the spoon is decorated with stylized flower and tendril form enamel with blue and yellow plique a jour accents. The turned handle of the spoon is topped with a blue enamel argyle pattern finial. On the back side of the spoon the flower and tendril design is given a white enamel background. The spoon is marked with the Cyrillic mark of Alexsandr Fuld (1862-1917), "84" silver purity mark, the St. Petersburg coat of arms, an unidentified assay mark, and the mark of Gavriil Grachev. 7 3/16" long
Condition
Minor cracks and losses to enamel, otherwise good condition.
