D. Peacock, Chicago, gray silk-covered case with a fitted oyster velvet interior, 4-1/4" x 19" x 16".

In overall good condition. No significant issues on the silver elements other than the expected light wear. Two of the porcelain inserts are later replacements, one by Lenox, the other by Royal Worcester (the latter a lighter shade of white). One of the original liners has a 1/4" chip on the rim. The exterior of the case is well-worn, with the fabric at the edges threadbare and split, and the latches rusted and lacking the hasps. The case interior is in much better condition, with no tears or stains noted.
