Description
Tom Beecham (American, Colorado, 1926-2000) oil on canvas from 1989 entitled “Autumn Run.” Born in Texas, Beecham lived in Colorado during his productive years after having studied at the St. Louis School of Fine Arts. A meticulous worker, it is thought that Beecham did about 360 paintings during his lifetime, somewhere around 15 each year. This work was shown in the Society of Animal Artist Art and Animal 30th Annual Exhibition at the St. Hubert’s Giralda Animal Art Museum in Madison, New Jersey in 1990 which then traveled throughout the United States. A partial copy of that catalog is included. Signed Tom Beecham SAHA SAA and dated lower right. Sight size is 17 3/8 by 29 1/4 inches and total size with frame is 27 1/8 by 39 1/8 inches. The frame is a finished corner, gold leaf inset frame, perfect for the painting and expensive to make.
