Description
Colorful Vellum Glaze vase decorated by E.T. Hurley in 1933. He encircled the vase with red flowers and bright green leaves and added a cute little bird, busily checking out one of the large flowers, with bands of blue and brown at the rim and blue at the bottom, all against a white ground and lined in Nubian Black. Impressed with the Rookwood symbol, the date and an S for a Special Shape and monogrammed by the artist in blue slip. There is no crazing and a very few, minor pepper spots. Quite striking! Height is 5 5/8 inches.
